Description Patsy Cline died in a plane crash on March 5, 1963. Now, her musical legacy lives on in "Remembering Patsy." This heartfelt celebration features 17 great Patsy Cline song clips, and 10 rare television appearances, recently discovered and never before seen on home video. You'll meet Patsy through her intimate home movies, her personal letters, as read by Arista recording artist Michelle Wright, and the fond reminiscences of Patsy's husband, Charlie Dick, and Willie Nelson, Loretta Lynn, George Jones, Mel Tillis, Roy Clark, Eddy Arnold, Bill Anderson and Jan Howard. A new generation of stars, including Trisha Yearwood, k.d. lang, Ronna Reeves, Lisa Stewart, and Marsha Thornton, add insight into Patsy's influence and proof positive that Patsy Cline does live on in her music.

Purchasing this DVD was the best investment I made. Besides all the archive footage of Patsy, not too mention the home movie footage, you also see fond remembrances by people who knew Patsy Cline, a woman who was loved by all who knew her.
Why is Patsy Cline so legendary? Watch this DVD! June 24, 2004 28 out of 30 found this review helpful
I've owned this video since it came out in 1993 and recently bought the DVD only because I've worn my VHS out - this video is truly a treasure to have! Cline's widower, Charlie Dick, and their children, Julie and Randy, have done an exceptional job putting this together - classy and heartfelt. It features Michele Wright reading Cline's personal letters to friends and fans, which somewhat narrates her life along with the interviews of friends, family and music legends. There are PRICELESS home videos, onstage/television performances(never before seen, including one of Cline singing "I Fall to Pieces" within a week of her death & THE Arthur Godfrey's Talent Scouts performance of "Walking After Midnight", her big break!), pictures that many fans haven't seen before and stories from family and friends that show a side to Patsy that some have never heard of - and some of them are HILARIOUS (especially Jan Howard's story of how she and Patsy met.) There are also a few interviews with current music stars, like Trisha Yearwood & K.D. Lang, who tell of her influence on their music and careers. Throughout the film, Patsy's music is played. Unlike the first video "The Real Patsy Cline", that Cline's family produced in the late 1980's, this film doesn't really focus on the plane crash, but more on her career. However, for other interviews with music stars (some deceased - Dottie West & Carl Perkins), as well as other performances & pictures not seen on this video allow me to recommend that DVD ("The Real Patsy Cline"). They're both worth having! You'll realize why she is the most hearlded female musician of the 20th Century! This is a must have for any Patsy Cline fan!
"THE MOST SENTIMENTAL AND COMPLETE DOCUMENTARY OF THEM ALL!" August 30, 1999 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
PROOF OF A LEGEND! She wasn't on earth long enough to sing her songs to us in person, but her FANTASTIC music lives on today and is considered incredible even by today's standards. In this video, you will SEE and HEAR the performaces that made Patsy Cline a star in her day and an even bigger one in ours. Watch her weave magic with her velvetine voice like only see could do. If you want chills...this is a must!!!
Patsy Cline: Today, Tomorrow, and Forever December 5, 1998 This video is a must for any Patsy Cline fan. Seeing Patsy on tv is like going back in time when pop was big, and country was down. But, Patsy broke thru she brought back country music and was in reign of country music. You see Patsy as a young cowgirl then as a more conservative '60's woman. And friends tell about Patsy and her hard times. When she crawled out of a hospital from a near-fatal car wreck. And when Patsy was at the top of her career. The Sweet Dream had ended and a legacy began. . . Funny as it is sad, touching as it is painful. Patsy Cline. . today, tomorrow, and forever.
