 Works great! But really not necessary! January 6, 2009
This item does exactly what you would expect. Recharges your Garmin Nuvi in the comfort of your home (or anywhere else with an electrical outlet.) It even comes with adapters for foreign power outlets. What I didn't know when I ordered it was that it isn't really necessary if you have a computer. The supplied USB download cable also allows you to charge your Nuvi through your computers USB port. While I don't know if there is a difference in recharge times, it is possible to save $15 or $20 bucks and charge with the USB cable.

This power cable works well for my GPS. Before I got this power cable, I had to rely on my car battery to charge my GPS which sometimes was not adequate.
