5 out of 5 stars 14 Years Strong   December 2, 2008
I have had the Atlantis 100 for 14 years now. The silver coating flaked off long ago, along with the logo and button labels. It only beeps when you hit it on the table. I have gone through several bands since these resin bands don't last more than a year. This watch is really beat up. But the fact that it can take so much abuse and still function properly as it did for 14 years is a testament to its durability. This is a watch that you will wear for a long time.

5 out of 5 stars Timex 100 tm   August 18, 2008
"It takes a licking and keeps on ticking" I saw this add on TV 20 years ago, and It's still true.Only they all run on batteries now :-)

2 out of 5 stars Poor substitute for a great watch   August 2, 2008
For years I owned a Timex Alarm Chronograph watch. It was a great timepiece, all stainless steel; it took a lot of hard use and still looked good. When it finally broke down Timex couldn't fix it but only offered to replace it with a watch with fewer features.
The only watch Timex offered like it iwith the same features, alarm chronograph, timer etc. was the Atlantis 100. (I wouldn't be surprised if it has the same electronics inside.) However it is not nearly as good a watch. The body is made of plastic with a silver coating which wears off and looks shoddy. The LCD part is set deep into the watch, it is like looking into the bottom of a well, making the numbers hard to read. The clasp on the band has a way of becoming unhooked, just at the wrong times. I don't know why they stopped making the better product; I would buy it at event twice the original price.

4 out of 5 stars A reliable timepiece.   March 25, 2008
I don't remember the exact age of my watch, but I think this watch is getting to be about 9 years old. It is on it's third battery. I thought a watch of such extreme age could no longer be water resistant, but it survived a trip thought the washing machine.

Unlike other guady sports watches, this model is relatively thin in depth and thus more confortable to wear.

The bad news about this watch is that the case will lose it's silver and the band will eventually fall apart. The good news is that you can buff off the rest of the silver, buy a leather watch band and the watch won't look too bad.

5 out of 5 stars Great Job   November 5, 2007
Arrived on time, in fact before expected. The watch was exactly what I was looking for, as Wal-Mart discontinued the model.
