Not just for Ipods! January 6, 2009 Works great with the Sandisk Sanse e-series 3.5 mm jack. Short enough cord for less bulk. Good price.
Hazardous Substance surprise January 2, 2009 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I probably would have given this item a 5 star review. It works fine and seems to be built well. But there was a slip of paper inside the package that you wouldn't see until you purchased and opened the item. The paper is a mixture of Chinese and English writing warning of hazardous substances found in this item. In this case, the box for Lead is marked.
Now if I had known this has lead in it, I would have looked for a different item. I doubt that even Amazon is aware. My biggest concern is that a parent bought this item for their child (aren't lots of kids using iPods?) and threw the packaging away at Christmas without looking at it. I kept the paper in case Amazon needs to contact me and take a look at it.
Simple and Really Useful Device - Great for MP3 Players December 11, 2008 How do you share 1 ipod with someone else? Left bud for her, right bud for you. Noooo! Even if you heard that from Steve Jobs that is not the way to do it right. This is the way to go. This headphone splitter is handsome enough. Simple and useful device that just works.
Now you can be cheek to cheek with somebody without sharing some wax.
Works Great with : 1. Sharing an MP3 Player 2. Watching from a portable DVD player 3. Need too split 1 audio source into multiple set of speakers.
Works as expected December 8, 2008 Bought this for trip to CA. Plugged it into my laptop, and two people were able to watch movies and listen to music. No issues with sound at all.
Belkin Headphone Splitter November 24, 2008 Great little splitter that does an excellent job of preserving quality while adding a ton of convenience to my life.
I have a Creative X-FI XtremeGamer soundcard, which is an amazing card if I may add. The only grip I had against my card was it only had one true output, and being a gamer and music lover, I'm constantly switching between headsets and my logitech 2.1 speakers (older model, not available anymore).
While using my headset I'm using both the headphones and the microphone to communicate while playing games, and so simply plugging the headphone jack into the jack on my speakers. My case has a jack for both headphones and microphone which would work perfectly if the pins weren't set for AC97. I considered getting a AC97 to Creative pinset connector, but decided to get the Belkin splitter instead. So that now I have the microphone in the Felxijack and the splitter in the stereo out, which then connects to both my speakers and my headphones at the same time. I just switch off whichever I'm not using (my altec-lansing headset has a off and mute switch for both microphone and headphones) and enjoy crystal clear sound through the other.
I was a bit worried about the splitter possibly damaging the sound or the stereo balance in either jack, but the one I received was in perfect condition and the connections are strong and deliver the same great sound as before but with the added convenience of not having to plug and unplug my speakers and headset every time I switch.
If you are experiencing a situation similar to what I was, I recommend that you pick up a Belkin Headphone Splitter right away, it has made a huge difference in convenience!
