Not Worth It February 5, 2008 Do not get this version of the making of Grand Prix. Buy the DVD of the movie Grand Prix with the real special features showing a much better and much longer version of how the movie was made as well as several other very interesting special features. All this DVD is is a short movie theater type trailer showing very little of the real process involved. SAVE YOUR MONEY.
A great companion to "Gran Prix" January 2, 2008 If you have Gran Prix, then you will want this DVD too. It shows the work and skill involved in making that great movie. Now days it would be all CGI, but back in the day, it was done the hard way!
not what I thought it would be November 5, 2007 This was not a movie on the making of Grand Prix,it was on the actors as well as other races, it was not what I was looking for.
Not what you've seen on Speed Channel May 8, 2007 I thought this video would be similar to the "making of Grand Prix" that has been aired on the cable Speed Channel (Speed TV) with interviews with Frankenheimer and the cast. It is really a collection of old racing films with just a small amount of footage from the production of the film. I'd say this is a good case of "you get what you pay for" ... not much content for not much money. A disappointment.
The Description Is Misleading January 9, 2007 I weas led to believe, from the description, that there was more to this film than there actually is. I expected there to be information on all of the aspects of the filming of the fantastic movie, only to find that there was one short on the filming of the Monaco GP and a terrible hodge-podge of news clips of every fiery accident that had ever taken place on or near a racetrack. This DVD is for ghouls only.
