Amazon.com Product Description Grand Prix 3 is an officially licensed Formula One racing simulation, featuring all the teams, tracks, and races of the 1998 Championship Season. There are five difficulty levels and three game modes: quick race, nonchampionship race, and Championship Season. Eight driving aids include: auto brakes, auto gears, self-correcting spin, indestructible, ideal line, suggested gear, throttle help, and steering help. Visually, you see a virtual cockpit, weather effects, a detailed vehicle and track, and a wide range of TV and game-style camera views. You can review races with a detailed performance analysis, including data logging that offers a wealth of information on each saved lap. The data includes: speed, steering demand, rpm, throttle, brake, gear use, ride height (for each wheel), suspension travel (for each wheel), wheel spin (for each wheel), as well as longitudinal and lateral acceleration. The game supports four or more racers over a LAN.

Not too bad for a racing sim October 8, 2007 First I would like to say that GP3 is better off for people who miss out or can't get GP2. The graphis on this game look like it came out in the mid 1990's.the AI in the game is amazing because they will force you off the road when you try to overtake them in a corner ,also when you crash the AI cars ram you like nothing is there.for the season mode I will advise you to go through it once.Overall this game could be fun but can be boring afer a while.
A letdown from Geoff Crammond October 17, 2006 Grand Prix 2 was a standout racing sim that confirmed Geoff Crammond as the world's top racing sim designer. GP3 should have been able to build on this success, but instead proved a disappointment. Although the graphics are much improved over GP2, the game setup is frustrating. The real kicker, though, was the game's refusal to work with either of the two wheel/pedal setups that I own. Playing a racing sim with the keyboard is not very rewarding. Grand Prix Legends is a far superior sim.
Best of the series so far February 13, 2003 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This game is easily the best racing sim there is. I don't beleive Grand Prix 4 is an improvement, it's an arcadey version of GP3. GP3 is not a gran turismo type of game - it's very skilful. You might find yourself going off all the time at first but can improve indefinitely with practice and knowledge. Great attention to detail. ...

Of F1 2001, Grand Prix 3, and Grand Prix 4, I keep returning to Grand Prix 3. As a casual player on a XP system, I looked for a game with a straight forward setup. No problems. Fast action. Good graphics. LAN play is good. Just wish there was interent play.
Continuing the series tradition, a beautifuly made game. August 9, 2002 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Geoff Crammond's titles have always been of great realism and playablility for anyone who enjoys formula one. Aside from the now released Grandprix 4 this game is one of the most realisitic titles out there. Unlike the EA serieses F1 97,98, 99, 2000 etc. this is a true sim and much more realistic. The graphics may now be dated, but this games sucsessor Grandprix 4 is now on the market and very much as awesome as this, its predecessor
